Aulia
Yeru
investigates
the
intricate
relationship between the physical properties
of water and the evolving social dynamics
surrounding waterways. His current practice
centers on the Cikapundung River in
Bandung, Indonesia, which functions both
as his laboratory and collaborator. Through
this ongoing work, he seeks to articulate
hydrosocial processes and reveal the multiple
connections between water and society.
Born in Toulouse in 1988, Aulia is an artist and
academic based in Bandung. He is currently
pursuing a PhD in artistic practice at the University
of New South Wales. His broader artistic interests
lie
at the intersection of artistic practice,
environmental change, and spatial production
