Toriq Achmad

Achmad Toriq is known for his emotionally resonant visuals that draw on childhood nostalgia, including old films, comics, and vintage posters. Working primarily with acrylic on canvas, he brings warmth and familiarity to each piece. Based in East Java, Indonesia, Toriq is a visual artist and art educator who completed his Fine Arts degree at Universitas Negeri Surabaya in 2015. He has exhibited widely across Indonesia and is active in local art communities. His work has earned national recognition, including the Grand Prize in the Emerging Artist category at the 2013 UOB Painting of the Year and Best Artwork at the 2016 PPPPTK Visual Art Competition in Yogyakarta.
